Sarah Tuck
Dr Sarah Tuck is an arts and cultural practitioner and educator. Her research and practice is based within the area of socially engaged and public art practice and theory. Her work in this area has included leading Create, the national development agency for collaborative arts in Ireland, to the publishing and dissemination of ideas on the ‘public sphere’ and agonism. She is the author of After the Agreement – Contemporary Photography in Northern Ireland (2015) a curated research project which explores the affective meanings of images and the socio-political context of post Agreement. From 2016-2018 she conducted post-doctoral research on drone technologies, supported by Valand Academy, University of Gothenburg and Hasselblad Center. In 2019 she became Head of Unit, Fine Art at Valand Academy and subsequent to the merger with HDK, became Head of Unit, Craft and Fine Art, HDK-Valand in 2020.
