Jèssica Jaques Pi.
Jèssica Jaques Pi. Graduate in Art History and PhD in Philosophy (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) is an associate professor of Aesthetics and Art Theory at UAB, where she dedicates her teaching to philosophy with art, a task that she extends beyond the classroom as the academic manager of the Teaching Innovation Project and artivist collective artencurs http://artencurs.wixsite.com/artencurs. She currently codirects the public program Doctorat Picasso (UAB – Museu Picasso de Barcelona http://www.bcn.cat/museupicasso/ca/recerca/doctorat-picasso.html), and is translating Picasso’s poems and theatre scripts into Catalan and Spanish. She has been a keynote speaker and invited professor at MIT (Massachusetts), École Pratique des Hautes Études (Paris), CNRS (Paris), Université Jean Jaurès (Toulouse), UPJV (Amiens) and the University of Warsaw. In Barcelona, she has been a regular collaborator of Fundació Joan Miró, EINA (University Center for Arts and Design), elBulliFoundation and the Humanities Institute.
