Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona – Open Call
Dear all,
The Teaching Innovation Project artencurs (Autonomous University of Barcelona) is pleased to inform you that we are starting our activity within the European project for creativity Open Up (Creative Europe Open Up 607376-CREA-1-2019-1-CY-CULT-COOP2) with the workshop of creative processes from the movement: Nomadic Videodance, coordinated by Laura Vilar, choreographer, dancer, professor at the Institut del Teatre, PhD candidate and co-director of nunArt https://www.nunartbcn.com/. We invite you to be part of the workshop that will take place on Thursday 8, 15, 22 and 29 of April 2021, as participants and / or as collaborators in the organization.
The Nomadic Videodance Workshop invites us to discover, through movement and creative processes generated from the body, the territories we inhabit. Touching the different dimensions of our personal field and its relationship with the community through a research experience in dance, the workshop proposes the following practices: a collective diary, daily challenges from a personal perspective on global issues, practices around the presence, improvisation-creation interpretation processes. These practices lead to a common place: the creation of a videodance practice that will be shown on digital platforms.
There are no prerequisites, anyone interested in exploring creative processes from the body is welcome, although the workshop will have a perspective from social justice favoring dynamics that allow exploring experiences of migration, forced displacement, trauma, vulnerability and racial injustices. The workshop will be done in Spanish, but linguistic competence is dispensable since the work will be based mainly on the body.
We invite you to be part of the workshop, which will take place online via Zoom, and requires the availability and commitment of the entire group on the four Thursdays in April. Thanks to digitality, there is no capacity limit. You can take part as participants and / or collaborate in the organization. The activity is free, and you can enrol at encursart@gmail.com communicating your name.
Sign up deadline: April 7
