The last day of the festival!

We closed this beautiful journey of OPEN UP programme with the last performances, “La poterie est Politique” by Lise Lerichomme, “Undysreguated” by Hayal Gezer, “Confetti”... by Noutsa Poulouzasvili, Vicky Kalla and Jay Stamataris,”RUNWAY” by Eleni Mylona, a video screening by Maria Charalambous, “Conversations with my therapist” by Simone Khenkin, “Je t’aime” by Panagiota Nicolaou and “childhood leftover” by Elisavet Panagiotou.
At night Cagla Elektrikci, Eliana Petrou, and Bikash Shrestha invited us to a delightful culinary adventure with their mobile kitchen outside the NiMAC exhibition hall accompanied with DJ set by Vasilis Palamas and a live set Nostalgia.
Day 3- Saturday 21.10
On the third day of the NICOSIA OPEN-UP FESTIVAL, Theatro Polis was “on fire” with the number of performances that took place on Saturday evening, eight performances took place
Battlehood by Argyro Christodoulou, BRIEF by George Bizios, "My ...Nightmare" by Demetra Demetriadou,Checkmate by Eleana Charalambous. If though the well-known artist KMRU couldn’t attend the festival, his sound performance “Sound Track for a Future Festival” took place at Theatro Polis on Saturday night.
At the NiMAC exhibition three more performances took place “OPEN WORK – AJOURS ΟΠΕΣ” by Madeleine Aktypi, “No Borders” by Barthelemy Toguo, and “The Loughing Symposium” by Harold Offen.
Until 23:00 DJ Annie, we’re vibing with electro music by DJ Annie outside the NiMAC Exhibition Hall.

Day 1 – Thursday 19.10.2023
The first day of our festival had a bit of everything five performances, one workshop, an open discussion about European Funding Programmes for Culture, school visits, and the opening of the OPEN UP Exhibition, at night guests had the chance to street party ...with DJ set by “ The Greek Samurai” and a live set by “Alex Sunders”.

The day consisted of the workshop by Openuputh "Feed Canteen", led by Soumela Makanika, the Entrepreneurship workshop for the creative sector by GrantXpert Consulting led by Celia Hadjichristodoulou, Performances of "Force meets vacuum" by Shubhangi Singh, "Somewhere, Somehow..." by Emily Cutler, ""Hybrid" by Maria Kasapi, an interactive performance "La Patronne" by Natalia Panagiotou and a video screening " The topography of my queer body" by Moe Mustafa.
The street party took place at Gardens of the Future tunes by DJ Aristodemos

°OPENWORK °AJOURS ° ΟΠΕΣ - Performance
The performance is a playful zigzag made up of free ...associations of ideas that jump from one language to the other blurring lines and meanings so that a person born in Greece, living in France, (badly) singing in English and coming for the first time to Cyprus can perhaps manage to experience and share some stuff that an on/off common history has produced over time.
In light of unforeseen circumstances, we regret to inform our valued attendees that participants from our partner Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Spain, will not be joining us at the Open Up Nicosia Festival. Consequently, the scheduled workshops organised by UAB, including "Nomadic ...Parcourse," "Calicoe Meadows as Interfaces: An Exploration on Life and Its Representations," and "Espai Segur," along with the performance "Fabrics to Weave Care," are regrettably canceled.
We extend our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your understanding. We remain committed to delivering an engaging and enriching festival experience, and we look forward to welcoming you to the festival events.
